The artists in residence program aims to bring together artists from all countries and all disciplines ( visual arts, writing, dance, music) for a concentrated period of one or two months.

This program aims to support residents in their creative explorations, investigations and professional growth within an environment of communication and exchange.

The selection of the artists is done by our artistic comitee. Its decision is motivated by the quality of the project, its adequacy to camac’s philosophy and environment, as well as by the applicant’s pastachievement. The residency program is open from March to December.

 

Applications are received on a yearly basis.

you can fill it directly, print it and send it by post with the material to camac, 1 grande rue, 10400 marnay sur Seine, France. We can also receive applications by email (jycoffre.camac@gmail.com)

You application will be reviewed by our selection committee and you will receive an answer about 1 week after.

 

You are lodged in one of the 9 rooms of camac with an adapted working space according to your needs. Technical equipment available : computers room, video camera, access to internet, some material for sculpture. Requests for all necessary equipment envisioned must be made clear at time of application.

There is a small art reference library, a conference room and exhibition space.  Camac has working relation with the Banff Centre for the Arts (Canada),  Chelsea College of Art, London Institute à Londres (United Kingdom), and is a member of Res Artis, the international association of residential art centres and of  The Alliance of artists residencies.

You will have to find fundings to cover some residency cost. camac engages itself to help you in any possible way in your research for funding. Once on site, your only spending will be for your own entertainment and personal requirements and your working material.
