John G. Boehme was born in 1963 and now works and lives in Victoria, Canada. His performances portray the problems in contemporary society: work, money and power. For example, in the "Church of Cash" John Boehme places himself in front of a bank machine and transforms a daily custom into a true ritual. "My work exists to inspire discussion and debate," says the artist. "I want to combine the distinctions that exist between art, life and the artist."
